Happy New Year!

If you’re like most of us, the best you could say about 2009 was that it was a “character builder”. But entrepreneurs by nature believe that small business will prevail. What better way for you to learn about trends and gain some new tools to position your business for prosperity in the new decade than by attending the Washington County Economic Summit on January 13, 2010?

Over 12 breakout sessions such as “What we need now are Customers” and “Show me the non-Traditional Money” will help you think in a new direction. Jay Bean, of the nationally acclaimed Orange Soda will talk about putting some fizz in your internet marketing program.

Of course, the ballroom speakers U.S. Senator Bob Bennett and Utah Governor Gary Herbert will set the stage from a national and state viewpoint.

Perhaps one of the most encouraging signs of economic progress will take place in the “What’s Up Down South” session where 13 projects to occur in the next 12-18 months will be presented in rapid fire segments.

If tight finances and time schedules won’t let you attend the entire day, plan to come to one of the FREE afternoon bonus sessions such as the “Dixie Pitch” where three entrepreneurs from our region will pitch their deals to a panel of investors. You’ll come away with a much better understanding of what a typical investor looks for.
